Why Are My Files Not Validating?

This article outlines common issues regarding file validation errors.

Incorrect File Formats

Please ensure that your input files are in the correct format, as specified by the relevant service provider instructions.

  • PDF files are not supported: AuditMiner is unable to process files in PDF format.
  • Ensure that files downloaded from the service provider’s website are exported in the appropriate file format. If the files are exported in an incorrect format and later converted on your computer, they may fail to validate properly.

Uploading from a Zip File

  • Do not drag and drop input files directly from a zip file, as this may cause validation errors and result in blank files. Please ensure the files are unzipped before uploading.

Missed Steps in Download Instructions

  • Access the download instructions for the relevant recordkeeper and follow them again to download the input file experiencing validation errors.
