What information is missing from the TIAA-Cref workpapers?

This article summarizes information that is missing from each of the TIAA-Cref workpapers in detail.

  • Contribution Allocation Testing:
    • The input report does not include the percent elected for allocation, so this information is blank in the AuditMiner workpaper for TIAA-Cref.
  • Distribution Package
    •  The Distribution input report does not include distribution type, amount paid, payee, distribution fees, and forfeitures.
    • If the participant has multiple distributions, AuditMiner is unable to break out distributions by money source due to input report limitations.
  • Investment Disclosure Support
    • The input report doesn’t include ticker symbol, current year shares, current year price, or current year cost.
    • AuditMiner has removed loans from the current year and prior year investment amounts
  • Investment Income Allocation
    • The input reports don’t include the ticker symbol and therefore AuditMiner is unable to populate the Fund Return.
  •  Loan Package
    • The Loan Package input reports doesn’t include loan interest or unpaid accrued interest. Theses columns have been left blank for the auditor to populate if deemed necessary.
    • The Loan Package does not include loan date, loan amount, payment amount, interest rate or maturity date for loans that were paid off or defaulted as of the end of the plan year as they are no longer considered outstanding and the data does not appear on the input report.

  • Participant Activity Detail Package
    • AuditMiner has removed loans from the Participant Activity Detail Package.
  •  Rollovers Package
    • The input report doesn’t have rollover date, participant elected allocation percent, or qualified institution so it will not populated on the rollover output.
