OnPoint EBP Compatible Workbook
This article explains AuditMiner's OnPoint EBP Compatible Workbook
Purpose
The purpose of the OnPoint EBP Compatible Workbook is to provide direct compatibility with OnPoint EBP templates using validated 401(k) recordkeeper data. By eliminating manual data reformatting, AuditMiner’s standardized data can be imported directly into OnPoint EBP workbooks, allowing testing to begin immediately.
What's Included
The OnPoint EBP Compatible Workbook consists of 10 tabs, covering areas such as trial balance and sampling, benefit payment testing, and participant loan testing. AuditMiner populates this workbook using files generated for Recordkeeper and Payroll Workpapers.
Best Practices & FAQ
1. OnPoint EBP Compatible Workbook displays 100% of population. Sampling is not taken into consideration at this time.
2. Participant Data Testing and Eligibility Testing tabs will only populate when Payroll is processed with AuditMiner. The remaining tabs will populate when Recordkeeper workpapers are process with AuditMiner.
3. Gray columns contain cells that should not be copied into OnPoint EBP templates, as they are not intended to be overwritten.
4. Blank columns indicate:
a. A field or a dropdown in OnPoint EBP template that auditor should populate.
b. Provided by client data.
b. Data that was not available in the input files.
5. Sampling tab:
a. The sampling units are based on population source selected in AuditMiner.
6. Participant Data Testing tab:
a. This tab includes data for all five tabs of the OnPoint EBP Participant Data Testing template. Refer to rows 1-2 to identify the appropriate template for each data set.
b. This tab is currently designed for annual testing. For specific pay period information, please refer to AuditMiner's Payroll Contribution Detail.
7. Benefit Payments Testing tab:
a. AuditMiner populated the distribution type from the recordkeeper file(s) in column D. This data is provided to assist with selecting the appropriate category in the OnPoint EBP Benefit Payments Testing template and should not be copied.
