# How to Edit or Deactivate Users

## This article walks through the steps to edit or deactivate an AuditMiner user

*Please note: only Admins can deactivate a user.*

#### Step 1: Select "Users" in the left navigation pane.

#### Step 2: Select the actions menu by the user you would like to edit or deactivate.

#### Step 3: Select "Edit User."

### To Edit a User

#### Step 1: Alter the first name, last name, or role.

#### Step 2: Select save to confirm.

### To Deactivate a User

#### Step 1: Navigate to "Status."

#### Step 2: In the dropdown, select "Inactive." Select save to confirm.
