CONTRIBUTION TIMELINESS RECONCILIATION FAQ

This article will provide additional details to commonly asked questions regarding the Contribution Timeliness Reconciliation tab of the Plan and Participant Reconciliation Workbook.

Why are there payroll dates without a corresponding date received by plan?

For engagements with Fidelity as the recordkeeper:

Since Fidelity recordkeeper input file(s) do not provide the payroll date, separate rows are created for the payroll and recordkeeper data.

For engagements with ADP as the recordkeeper:

ADP recordkeeper input file(s) do not include contributions data, so only payroll dates are displayed.

All other recordkeepers:

If additional payroll dates exist in the payroll input file that are not accounted for in the recordkeeper input file(s), AuditMiner will add these rows with the payroll data only.

Why are there dates received by plan with no corresponding payroll date?

For engagements with Fidelity as the recordkeeper:

Fidelity recordkeeper input file(s) do not include payroll dates. As a result, payroll date and date received by plan appear on separate rows.

All other recordkeepers:

If the recordkeeper input file(s) includes a date received by plan without an associated payroll date, no payroll date will populate in the reconciliation.
